Bernie Sanders made a surprise appearance before his scheduled interview with "The Late Show" Stephen Colbert.
During Colbert's monologue Wednesday night, the host expressed that he just wanted to sit at his desk and talk about the New Hampshire primaries, but "as a responsible host," he had to finish his monologue first. The host then went into a series of jokes about Ash Wednesday before Sanders walked out on stage and gave him a little pep talk.
"When you grow up, you learn you can't always get what you want," Colbert said. "You have to do things that are responsible."
"Stephen, that is not true," said Sanders. "You can do what you want and be responsible. You've got to follow your heart. Go your own way. The revolution is possible. You are the revolution. And this time, the revolution will literally be televised."
Sanders then introduced Colbert's guests for the night, including himself and Ben Stiller, and reminded the audience about his performance at Tuesday's primary.
"But first, one more thing," Sanders added, "last night Bernie Sanders won the New Hampshire primary by 22 points. No joke!"
