Google Unveils Debit Card For Its Digital Wallet Service In U.S

Google announced a free debit card that makes funds easily accessible anytime, anywhere for its digital Wallet users. As of now the facility is only available for the U.S. buyers.

From search results to laptops or even smartphones, Google has made its presence felt everywhere. Now the search engine giant is providing an alternative to ATM cards on its digital Wallet service.

Goggle Wallet is an app that provides a smart shopping option for its users where they can buy goods making online payments from the Wallet linked to a user's bank account. Friends can also transfer money to the Wallet if required.

With the debit card users can withdrew cash from any of the ATMs and also use it for direct purchases across million of stores where MasterCards are accepted.

Google will not charge any monthly or annual fee for the debit card. Google also provides cash back facilities with the card.

The debit card will trigger more ecommerce prospects for Google. Google can keep track of the transaction details on the Google Wallet cards, which include description of goods purchased, the amount of the transaction and the name and address of the seller. It will give the California-based tech giant data on user preferences and help it to target ads accordingly, reports Zednet.

How to get your Google Wallet Debit card:

The Google users in U.S. need to download the Wallet app and go to the Google verification site to submit the required documents. Once the registration procedure is over the user will be prompted for a debit card on the Wallet app. The user can simply order the card, which will take 12-13 days to be delivered. Then the user needs to sign in to the Wallet account and activate the card.

A Wallet pin will be provided for usage, according to the press release.

How to use the Google Wallet Debit card:

The users can directly withdraw cash from Wallet balance anytime from any ATM. However, you may be charged a nominal fee depending on the bank guidelines

The user can spend up to $5000 every 24 hours but it does not include the ATM withdrawals.
