Microsoft’s ‘Scroogled’ Products Claim Google Collects Your Private Data (See Product List)

Microsoft has taken its war against Google a step further by launching merchandise with slogans building on its theme of 'Scroogled'.

Microsoft claims Google is stealing your personal data to sell ads and to better convey its messages. The software giant recently started a "Scroogled" ad campaign taking pot shots at Google's alleged information mining. But it does not end there, if you are on Microsoft's team or against Google then you may enjoy this. Microsoft now has launched "Scroogled" merchandise that includes t-shirts, hats, mugs, and sweatshirts to mock at Google.

If you are wondering how Microsoft is pulling that off then here it is. The Redmond, Calif.-based software company has all its listed products printed with messages that claim Google is stealing your private data and encourages you to wear them to show you are against it.

Microsoft launched its clothing line Thursday, and it is not sure if the company is focused on generating any profits out of it, but it seems to be focused on conveying its message precisely. All the products are printed with different slogans with Google's popular Chrome browser's logo on most. The company conveys one message clearly - if you use Google services than it is likely that your private data is collected by the web giant.

"Gulled. Humbugged. Buffaloed. Wire-tapped. Extorted. Sold out. Chicaned. Fleeced. Scammed. Conned. Surveilled. Double-dealt. Ensnared. Suckered. Sandbagged. Gossiped. Scandalmongered. Flimflammed. Skullduggered. Bamboozled. Hornswoggled. Beguiled. Cheated. Fooled. Double-crossed. Defrauded. Hoodwinked. Swindled. Duped. They're all just synonyms for being Scroogled - and you can get them all on this American Apparel 50/50 t-shirt," is the description for one "Scroogled" t-shirts, which has all the mentioned words in a word cloud.

Other products include
- a "Scroogled" mug and a t-shirt with a logo that reads "Keep Calm While We Steal Your Data"

- a hat and a t-shirt with "Scroogled" printed in Google's traditional colorful font

- a hoodie with a "Scroogled" logo, a t-shirt with a spider that reads "Step Into Our Web,"

- a tee with Chrome logo in the disguise of a spy with the message "I'm Watching You."

All the products are priced differently, the mug costs $7.99, hat retails for $14.99, t-shirts for $11.99 and the hoodie for $25.99.

Besides having a dedicated page within Microsoft's website, the anti-Google campaign also has its Facebook page. But some anti-Scrooglers started their own version of the campaign on the social network that shows support towards Google and mocks fun at Microsoft and its services.
