Barry Manilow has been rushed to the hospital following complications during surgery. The announcement was made on the 72-year-old "Copacabana" singer's Facebook page on Thursday.
"Following a triumphant sold out concert in Memphis, Barry Manilow was rushed back to Los Angeles due to complications from emergency oral surgery than Manilow had on Monday," the post read.
It went on to explain that the concerts he had scheduled for Feb. 11 and Feb. 12 in Highland Heights and Nashville, Tenn., which are a part of his final One Last Time Tour, are being rescheduled. The dates have not yet been announced, but ticket holders will be able to redeem their current tickets for tickets at the new show.
Since Manilow has also been nominated for his 15th Grammy Award for his latest album "My Dream Duets," it is also unclear if he will be able to attend the award show on Monday, Feb. 15, due to these health complications.
Shortly after the post went up on his Facebook, Manilow's publicist, Victoria Varela, insisted that he is doing fine. "He is perfectly healthy," she told CNN. "He is not in the hospital. Other than the dental issues, he is doing great. He still does not know if he can attend the Grammys."
Manilow, who rose to fame in the 1970s, has suffered several health scares over his career, according to Us Weekly. Ever since a benign tumor ruptured in his mouth in 1986, he has had to undergo regular dental treatment. He also had hip surgery in 2011 that led to concerts being postponed, and he revealed later that year that he had chronic heart disease.
