Gemini Arabians, which won all six games they played so far, booked spot in the MCL final after registering a comfortable win against the Sagittarius Strikers in the first semifinal of the tournament played at the same venue on Thursday. The Virender Sehwag-led Arabians are hoping to maintain their winning form and lift the MCL 2016 trophy.

"There is one more match to go and the intention is to continue winning. This was never going to be an easy match and they [Strikers] had the potential to overhaul our total. But we stuck together as a team and executed our gameplan," Arabians' Muthiah Muralitheran said, according to Gulf News.

Leo Lions, on the other hand, defeated the Virgo Super Kings in a second semifinal on Thursday. Batting first, Lions posted a modest total of 139 in their qouta of twenty overs. Meanwhile, the Brian Lara-led side's bowlers successfully defended the total, restricting Kings 13 runs short of the target, according to Tha National.
