The Denver Broncos are fresh off their Super Bowl victory, but like many teams after winning a Super Bowl, their players become top targets in free agency, as general managers and front offices are looking to bring that winning mentality to their team. The Broncos have a ton of talented players who could hit the free agent market this offseason, as quarterback Brock Osweiler, linebacker Von Miller, defensive tackle Malik Jackson and linebacker Danny Trevathan are scheduled to become unrestricted free agents this March.
The Broncos are reportedly expected to place the franchise tag on the Super Bowl 50 MVP, Miller, but it seems unlikely that they will be able keep all of these players given the market and what other teams will be willing to offer. Jackson will be an interesting free agent to keep an eye on this offseason, and AFC West division rival the Oakland Raiders could be a suitor for the coveted Broncos defense tackle, according Troy E. Renck of The Denver Post.
The Raiders were much improved under first year head coach Jack Del Rio and are looking to get back to the playoffs for the first time since 2002 next season. The Raiders defense lost some key players this offseason, as both defensive end Justin Tuck and safety Charles Woodson decided to retire following the 2015 season.
Jackson could have an instant impact on the Silver and Black's defense, and with players like linebacers Khalil Mack and Malcolm Smith, their defense could look stacked in 2016. Jackson will garner plenty of suitors on the open market, but it's reasonable to think that Raiders general manager Reggie McKenzie could make a push for the talented defensive tackle if he hits the free agent market.
