"Batman Vs. Superman" movie is set to begin filming early 2014, and the buzz around the "Man of Steel" sequel is stronger than ever.
A casting announcement in late August revealed Ben Affleck is taking on the role of the Caped Crusader. Many reports and rumors have surfaced on the Internet since, exciting fans for the movie, some a little more believable than others.
Below are 5 actors rumored to be associated with the upcoming Zack Snyder film. "Batman Vs. Superman" is set to launch on July 17, 2015.
1. Jamie Alexander As Wonder Woman?
According to multiple reports, the heroine is set to make an appearance in "Batman vs. Superman". The character's role in the film has yet to be confirmed (or denied) by the production team. However, the rumor continued to spread when "Thor" actress Jaimie Alexander, who reportedly was up for the part, talked to Forbes about Wonder Woman.
"I'm a huge fan of Wonder Woman. I really think if this is the closest that we're ever going to get to Wonder Woman, then I'm proud to play Sif. I hope that other comic book entities can learn a lesson from Marvel in how to execute a female character the way it should be done." Alexander said. "I really would like to one day see a Wonder Woman film or Wonder Woman character, but until it's done with class, I'd rather it not be done." (Read more here)
2. Nightwing a.k.a Robin a.k.a Adam Driver?
"Girls" star Adam Driver was rumored to be up for the role, but he shot down casting rumors in an interview with The Huffington Post.
Again, the production team hasn't confirmed the appearance of Nightwing, but the news spread when the Latino-Review (one of the leading sources for leaked movie details) cited insider sources saying the former sidekick would be in the movie. (Read more here)
3 & 4. Lex Luthor is Bryan Cranston. No wait, it's Terry O'Quinn?
Another unconfirmed report buzzing around the Internet is "Lost" actor Terry O'Quinn being up for the role of Superman's nemesis. According to SupermanSuperSite.com, O'Quinn beat out "Breaking Bad" star Bryan Cranston for the film role, but Cranston denied the reports of his appearance in the movie. (Read more here)
5. Brad Pitt as Alfred?
This is one of the most recent, and possibly strangest, rumors on the Internet. It began when TMZ asked Michael Craine, who played Alfred in the "Dark Knight" movies, which actor her believe could take on the role. His answer was Brad Pitt.
