With the next-gen console launch comes glitches, and the Xbox One was not immune to technical difficulties.
Tech site IGN reported gamers have been experiencing various problems with the new system. Some users dubbing one issue the "Green Screen of Death" where the console will freeze on the "green screen." One gamer reported their console was in "an endless cycle of crashing and rebooting."
"New Xbox One owners have reported numerous issues to the Xbox support message board, including concerning issues with disc drives, unusual sounds coming from the machine, more spontaneous system shutdowns, missing pixels, and blank or frozen screens. Others can't get their systems to start in the first place," according to IGN.

Sony's PlayStation 4 has also experience their share of technical difficulties. The tech company released the following statement about their software glitches on Nov. 15:
"A handful of people have reported issues with their PlayStation 4 systems. This is within our expectations for a new product introduction, and the vast majority of PS4 feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. We are closely monitoring for additional reports, but we think these are isolated incidents and are on track for a great launch.
"There have been several problems reported, which leads us to believe there isn't a singular problem that could impact a broader percentage of systems. The number of affected systems represents less than .4% of shipped units to date, which is within our expectations for a new product introduction."
Sony has since released a troubleshooting guide for their now infamous "Blue Light of Death" issue. A blinking blue light on your PS4 console could mean the following:
1. TV compatibility
2. Issues with PS4 power supply
3. Issues with PS4 hard drive
4. Issues with other PS4 hardware
