After Sony Its Microsoft’s Turn; Pushes Over 1 Million Xbox One Units On Launch Day

Microsoft is under the limelight following the launch of its much-awaited gaming console, Xbox One. The software giant had a highly successful launch with more than 1 million units sold in less than 24 hours.

Sony had a good start with its PS4 launch, pushing a million units off the shelves within the first 24 hours. That does not mean Microsoft got any less attention for its Xbox One. The gaming consoles from both the companies have long been hot favorites among their fans, so strong sales and high demand does not come as a surprise. The software giant also had a successful launch of its Xbox One, with more than 1 million units sold in less than 24 hours.

Microsoft claims the Xbox launch has been the biggest of all in the history of its gaming consoles, surpassing the Xbox 360 opening sales. The same goes for Sony, which also managed to push a similar number. Great demand for both gaming consoles hints at a strong holiday season for game retailers and software makers.

The Xbox One has made its presence felt wide and strong. Critics also looked at the device as a success with its amazing graphics and non-gaming features such as, live TV streaming in some countries, and integration of Skype.
