Almost a year after getting engaged, Jaimie Alexander and Peter Facinelli are calling it quits.
"Due to conflicting family and work commitments on opposite coasts, and after much consideration, Peter and Jaimie have chosen to part ways amicably and remain good friends," their reps said in a joint statement, according to People.
The couple got engaged last March after the 42-year-old "Twilight" actor popped the question on top of the Empire State Building, as HNGN previously reported.
Facinelli and the "Blindspot" star met on the set of "Loosies" and also featured in the comedy series, "Nurse Jackie" together. The couple made their relationship official in November 2012, eight months after Facinelli parted ways with wife Jennie Garth after an 11-year marriage, according to US Weekly.
In an interview at the Golden Globe Awards last month, Alexander, 31, said she was excited about the wedding and was looking forward to it.
"It's going good," she said, according to Entertainment Tonight. "We're moving slow because we're both extremely busy right now, but we're coming up with some really fun ideas that involve a bit of a stunt. I'm a big action girl - I love all kinds of adrenaline stunts so we'll see what happens."
"It'll be something pretty spectacular," she added.
The couple made their last public appearance together at the Golden Globes. However, Facinelli shared an Instagram photo two weeks ago, showing the two kissing in a Brooklyn park.
