Hong Kong will take on Afghanistan in the fifth qualifying group match of the Asia Cup Twenty20 International (T20I) 2016 at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Outer Stadium in Fatullah, Bangladesh on Monday.

Afghanistan bounced back in qualifying rounds of the Asia Cup with a three wicket victory over Oman after their first match loss against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Friday, according to Khaleej Times. Batting first, Oman had scored 165 for four in 20 overs. Afghanistan chased down the target in the 20th over with the match-winning performance by Dawlat Zadran, who hit two sixes in the final over.
Hong Kong, on the other hand, lost second qualifier against Oman despite Babar Hayat's 122 off just 60 balls, according to ESPN Cricinfo. The Tanwir Afzal-led side will also take on United Arab Emirates in the fourth qualifying group match at same venue on Sunday.
Afghanistan, Oman, Hong Kong and United Arab Emirates (UAE) are playing each other in qualifying group matches of 14th edition of Asia Cup. The winner of qualifiers will join India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and host Bangladesh in main round of the tournament, which will be played at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur from Feb. 24 to March 3.
