West Bromwich Albion plays Aston Villa on Monday in the Premiere League. The game starts at 3 p.m. ET (8 p.m. local). A link to the free live stream is provided below.
No. 12 Aston Villa visits No. 11 West Bromwich looking for three points and the victory to make the words of Villa manager Paul Lambert ring true: Villa is the bigger, better club.
"Aston Villa is a massive club," Lambert said, via the Independent. "I don't think anyone can ever dispute that. It's a club that's won a European Cup, league titles, has a massive fan-base and has a bigger stadium.
"That's no disrespect to West Brom - they're a good club in their own right. I haven't been at West Brom or managed the club but Aston Villa, for me, is a bigger club. We'll go there and try to win. I don't think you use the aim of finishing above them as a motivational tool. Everybody knows a derby is important for supporters, first and foremost. "
Despite Lambert's assertion of his club's superiority, West Brom has finished above Villa the past two seasons in the Premier League. Villa is coming off a 2-0 win over Cardiff City; West Brom is coming off a 2-2 draw against Chelsea.
Aston Villa is without Gabriel Agbonlahor (foot), Joe Bennett (back), Fabian Delph (knee), Gary Gardner (back), Charles N'Zogbia (calf) and Jores Okore (knee), according to SB Nation. Ben Foster (foot), Zoltan Gera (hamstring) and Billy Jones (hamstring) are unavailable for West Brom.
