"Mama's coming!"
"Reign" fans should prepare themselves to meet Mary's (Adelaide Kane) mother. According to TVLine.com, Amy Brenneman (most known for her roles on "Judging Amy", "Private Practice", and "NYPD Blue") will play the role of Mary's mother, Marie de Guise.
She tweeted about the role, giving off some excitement and a message for her on-screen daughter:
Yep,it's true. Off to a wardrobe fitting to play the badass, Marie de Guise, on @CWReign. Watch out, @AdelaideKane, mama's coming!
Catherine (Megan Follows) may have to worry about Mary's mother but she'll also have to worry about the secret she's been keeping sine the first episode. According to EOnline, someone is going to find out about Nostradamus' prophecy.
Is it possible the person who finds out is Mary's mother? (EOnline also reports once the secret is revealed to this person, mayhem will ensue.)
If the secret comes out, Catherine's plans for Mary will may be in danger. In fact, she may be in danger. In a recent interview with TVLine's Kimbrely Roots, Follows said her character will go to extreme lengths to protect her self-even killing.
"Well, it depends on how threatened I am," Follows told Roots when asked if Queen Catherine would resort to having someone killed. "That's what's fun for me as an actor, and what's not fun for the character, is that it's a game of survival."
"I have to be very careful," Follows also said. "And when you get threatened and seemingly backed into corners, [that determines] how drastic the measures become. She doesn't do it just for the fun or the sake of causing mayhem or destruction. It's stemming out of a heightened sense of survival."
"Reign" airs Thursdays at 9/8c on The CW.
