The Walabot is a new and exciting device that gives everyone, from ordinary people to engineers, the ability to have x-ray vision, according to the Daily Mail.
The Walabot is a powerful sensor device that attaches to a smartphone and gives digital imagery of surroundings, even peering right through walls. The miraculous device can even take things a step further - attaching to a smart car and helping to avoid accidents, as well as linking to a smart home and tracking a person's vitals and position.
The device sends out radio waves then collects the reflections, which render a 3-D image. It stands to offer consumers low cost digital imaging.
Vayyar Imaging is the company behind the Walabot.
"Walabot instantly turns a smartphone into a powerful 3D-imaging system at your fingertips," said Vayyar Imaging co-founder Raviv Melamed. "Our advanced technology lets people see all kinds of things hidden in the world around them, adding yet another dimension to the way people use smart devices today."
The device is expected to launch to the public in April, according to PR Newswire. Sample apps will be released at that time as well.
The development of the technology is considered very "intuitive" and adaptable. Developers are saying that apps could be developed for direct use with the Walabot.
It's expected to be priced anywhere from $149 to $599.
