Couple Uses Twitch App To Live Stream Alleged Sex Act On PlayStation 4 Network; Company Begins To Ban Users

PlayStation 4's Twitch app is meant to live stream gamers as the play their favorite titles, but some users a taking a different approach with the platform, including one couple who broadcast their own personal sex show.

According to Engadget.com, Twitch has been made aware of the misuse of their app and is cracking down on PS4 live streams, suspending users for "risqué content."

"FYI: We continue to moderate according to our Terms of Service. Non-gaming content is not allowed," Twitch posted on their official Twitter account. "Non-gaming content (c): If using PS4 Playroom, the content must be about games or gaming and within our ToS. Thanks for understanding."

Twitch user Darckobra is one of the many accounts banned from using the app. GameRevolution.com detailed what the PS4 gamer did to earn himself a ban:

"He and his wife sat on a couch drinking, and drinking, and drinking. Eventually, the wife passed out. So the man did what any man deserving of divorce papers would do: he showed the internet some breast - and not his own. Yes, live on Twitch TV, via The Playroom on PS4, a man lifted up his unconscious wife's shirt and exposed her breast. After 15 or 16 post-boob minutes, the channel went dark briefly; upon its return, the wife was completely naked, presumably stripped by the husband."

Twitch released the following statement about their crackdown efforts to Kotaku.com:

"As Twitch continues to attract new broadcasters, we want to keep our terms of service top of mind and reiterate we are a destination for video game-related content. We also have a team, supported by a predominantly positive minded community, that works around the clock to ensure our TOS is being adhered to. It is at the discretion of our partners to determine which Twitch features are integrated into their hardware and software."
