It seems like 2016 would be a good year for fans of the hit anime series, "Fairy Tail," as GameSamba, NGames Interactive Limited and Funimation Entertainment announced that they are working with Kodansha to create an officially licensed video game for iOS and Android users, according to The Examiner.
What's even better? According to the companies involved, the target release date of the official "Fairy Tail" game is set for the last quarter of 2016. This means that fans of the popular franchise will be able to immerse themselves in the rich, colorful world of "Fairy Tail" within the year.
That's not all.
The game developers also announced that the upcoming "Fairy Tail" game will be designed as an RPG, featuring a side story that is drawn from the sequel series of the anime, reports Attack of the Fanboy.
In the game, players would have to recruit numerous characters from the franchise, eventually honing them into a powerful party of wizards. Unfortunately, the game developers have not released any screenshots of the upcoming game yet.
The game is not all there is to look forward to during the year, however, as the 19th installment of the "Fairy Tail" Anime DVD/BD set is also set to be released within the year, reports The Bit Bag.
Funimation has already confirmed that the 19th installment would include 14 episodes, though rumors are abounding that a number of pretty cool extras are also set to be included, such as commentaries and textless songs.
