Trevor Noah busted out his Ben Carson impression Wednesday night on "The Daily Show" when he went after the GOP presidential hopeful for saying President Obama was "raised white" and missed out on the "experience of black Americans."
"So Ben Carson is saying that because Obama didn't grow up poor, he didn't grow up black," Noah said after playing a series of clips of Carson's comments about President Obama. "That is such a bulls--t argument. Being poor isn't what makes you black."
"Because if it is, then there are a lot of people living in trailers in the middle of America who will be very upset to hear the news," Noah continued. "'I'm what?!' But they're not black. And we know this. Because if they were, their trailers would have nicer rims."
Noah then wondered if Carson, who grew up in Detriot and Boston, passed his own "black test." "The Daily Show" then showed a series of clips of Carson talking about his childhood, including a video of Carson recounting a time when a kid hit him with a pebble.
"There's no pebbles in the hood," Noah said. "Did you skip them on the creek that ran through Malcolm X Boulevard? There's no pebbles in the hood, there's bricks!"
After listening to more of Carson's childhood stories, Noah wondered if he could believe any of the stories told, especially one where the GOP candidate said he threatened to hit his own mother in the head with a hammer.
"Really?" Noah asked. "I grew up with a black mom. There is no way you would survive to tell that story. She would be like, 'Did you just pull a hammer?' That's the black experience? Get the f--k out of here, Ben Carson!"
