O2 brings the ultimate bundle package this festive season with the year's most-awaited gaming console along with Sony's flagship Xperia Z1 smartphone on a 24-month contract starting Friday, November 29.
O2, one of the leading U.K. carriers, has announced a new bundle ahead of the PS4 release. The carrier will offer one of the most anticipated gadgets of the year, PS4, in a unique bundle with Sony's Xperia Z1 on a 24 month contract. Sony is launching PS4 in the U.K. this Friday, November 27, and the operator has promised to have stock in 65 stores across U.K.
Sony PS4 will hit the U.K. retailers with a £349 ($570) price tag, but those who prefer to purchase the console via O2 might end up paying extra. The O2 bundle includes Sony PS4 and Xperia Z1 smartphone, which will come with unlimited texts, minutes and 1GB data. In addition, the carrier is throwing in a 12-month free access to PS Plus along with a copy of Killzone: Shadow Fall.
If the bundle includes everything you'd planned to buy this Christmas then you will have to shell out an upfront cost of £89.99 ($147) and £52 ($90) per month. O2's new bundle falls under the Refresh contract category, which means buyers will be able to upgrade to a new phone mid-contract.
"Our bundle brings together the best of gaming and mobile this Christmas," David Johnson, General Manager Devices for O2 in the UK, said in a press statement. "We know our customers love to play and now they can enjoy brilliant gaming with O2, whether they're at home or on the go. And with our O2 Refresh tariffs getting into the game is cheaper than ever before."
O2 is also offering the bundle with less weight on your monthly bill but goes heavy on the initial payment. For the same bundle with only 600 minutes of calling and unlimited text and 750 MB data, buyers can pay £47 ($76) a month with £129.99 ($212) upfront cost.
