Google Doodle Celebrates Thanksgiving Day With Woodland Creatures: Brings In a Message of Harmony

No celebration is complete nowadays without Google Doodle's innovative designs on the search engine and Thanksgiving Day is no exception.

Thanksgiving Day, marks the beginning of the holidays in the United States. The day is celebrated to acknowledge the bounty of a fruitful year and was observed by the Pilgrim Fathers in the 17th century to give thanks for a good harvest.

Google has come up with an ingenious animated doodle of woodland creatures, planning a grand feast together. Each of the animals carries one or the other traditional food items for Thanksgiving Day.

There is a cunning fox that follows the group although he carries nothing along with him. The other creatures fear that the Fox will filch their food. But the little fox surprises everyone and starts playing the banjo. A perfect mood is set for a feast and everyone starts dancing and enjoying the music.

The song played by the Fox is 'The 28th of January', performed by the Hillbillies from Mars and the designer is Sophie Diao, reports CNet.

The doodle conveys the message of harmony and fun simply. There is another surprise at the end, the Google logo flashes across the screen at the end, holding the Thanksgiving message.

This time Thanksgiving Day is coinciding with the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah, a double celebration!
