Anyone who follows the Kardashian/Jenner girls probably already knows the name Jen Atkin. She is a celebrity hairstylist who works with the "Keeping Up with the Kardashian" family, as well as other A-listers such as Gigi Hadid and Chrissy Teigen. After much anticipation, Atkin's new line of haircare products, OUAI, finally was released Feb. 1. However, due to the high demands of being a Kardashian stylist, the line sold out almost immediately. Today, the entire line was finally restocked.
The line of products includes everything from dry shampoo and hair oil to hair conditioners and finishing creams. The most popular items on the OUAI website are a $32 hair masque, a $26 texturizing hair spray and a $26 soft hair spray. Another great thing about Atkin's OUAI website is that it has "How To" tutorials that teach people to style their hair using the products, including how to create a twisted braid, a half-up pony tail and beach waves.
"Life is hard - looking good should be easy. In addition to OUAI haircare products, Atkin is also launching a supplements line in April. The supplements will restore the health of hair from the inside out, while her products nourish the outside of hair.
Atkin believes that haircare has become too much of a serious business and that's why she wanted to start OUAI. "I wanted to create a 'breath of fresh hair' - a line for real life, for real women. Luxury products that are simple, affordable and classic in a world full of loud noise," said Atkin. "I didn't want to work with a giant haircare company or make those elaborate, unrealistic advertising campaigns. I was lucky to partner with investors who understood my vision and collaborate with industry experts in design and formulation."
As for Atkin's favorite product in the OUAI line, the hairstylist had to go with her OUAI texturizing spray. "The OUAI texturizing spray, which combines a dry shampoo and texture spray - it's like dry shampoo and texture spray had a baby," Atkin said.
Atkin's products are now fully restocked at OUAI.com and the entire line is also available for the first time at Sephora.
