The last scene in the 100th episode of "The Good Wife" has to be the funnies we've seen in a long time. To be honest, I laughed more at the word "Peter" more than Eli's spit-take. It also didn't occur to me that Marylin could have named her baby Peter because Peter might have fathered her baby-then I wouldn't have been laughing.
However, according to an interview show creators Robert and Michelle King did with TVLine, Peter may have fathered the baby.
"Eli's certainly worried about that possibility," Michelle King told TVLine.
"It's meant to be comic and worrisome at the same time," Robert King said. "Eli's going to look at the dates and see if it makes sense."
Robert added the 101st episode will "pick up a second later" after Marilyn's news. From there the show "will go into more detail."
In other 100th episode news, Lemond Bishop, played by Mike Colter, surprised Alicia when she showed up at the Florrick & Agos Christmas party. Even more surprised was Eli and Peter when they realized the biggest drug lord in the state was at the party and ended up having a conversation with Peter.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Colter said his return will create a conflict for the new firm.
"I think for the most part, when they were dealing with me when they were with Lockhart/Gardner it was because they had to. It was a necessary evil because the partners decided it was good for the business. They kept going with it," Colter said. "Now they're trying to redefine themselves as a new law firm they're realizing do we need people like him? And if we do need people like him, how are we different from Lockhart/Gardner? What is this all for?"
Colter also touched the fight between Florrick & Agos and LG and which side his character will come down on. "It's not only which firm he's going to choose, but who's going to choose him," Colter explained. "Who really wants him? And who's he going to end up with?"
Colt said he will appear again but the date and time has not been set.
"The Good Wife" airs Sundays at 9/8c
