Philadelphia sits near the middle of their division with a 12-12-2 record. The Flyers finished the month of November with nine wins to improve their standings. Another victory would push their winning streak to three straight games. A 3-2 shootout win on Saturday against Nashville gives the Flyers a confident start to their six-game road trip, ESPN reports.
"It's huge to start off the road trip the right way," Flyers center Sean Couturier said, via ESPN. "I think we deserved the win by battling hard, not quitting and coming back."
Vincent Lecavalier leads the team with nine goals, and Claude Giroux has team-highs with 14 assists and 18 points.
Minnesota, meanwhile, looks to regain some of the fire they had during the first three weeks of November. The Wild (15-8-5) finished the first three weeks of November with a 9-1-1 record before dropping four straight games to close out the month. In those four games, Minnesota has been outscored 12-4.
"It's up to us to just try to keep each other positive and the fact that we're getting those scoring opportunities is a good thing," said Wild winger Matt Cooke. "We just need to stay on it."
The last two losses for Minnesota came at the hands of the Colorado Avalanche. Although the Wild were swept in the two-game series, coach Mike Yeo was optimistic with how his club nearly rallied to a win on Saturday.

"That's a huge point for us," Yeo said. "We lost the skill competition at the end of the game, the shootout, whatever you want to call it. Bottom line I really believe we deserved the win in regulation."
Jason Pominville has a team-high 13 goals, and Zach Parise leads the team with 23 points.
