Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have been teasing their wedding details lately, though the reality star has admitted she's planning on leaving most of it up to her superstar fiancé. Us Weekly reports that the over-the-top couple have their sights set on an extravagant venue with a rich history.
As West is a total Francophile, it makes sense that the "Bound 2" rapper has his heart set on none other than the Palace of Versailles in France for his and Kardashian's wedding venue, the same royal château that Marie Antoinette called home in the late 1700s.
"Kanye has never been married and wants a big [wedding]," said a source, while another added, "They are not working with a budget."
With an estimated net worth of $100 million (Kardashian is said to be worth at least $40 million), the wedding is sure to top West's engagement event to the love of his life, at which he rented out San Francisco's AT&T Park and hired a 50-piece orchestra to play her favorite song, "Young & Beautiful" by Lana Del Rey as "PLEEEASE MARRY MEEEE!!!" flashed across the giant screen. It will likely also outdo Kardashian's August 2011 wedding to NBA star Kris Humphries, in which the two reportedly dropped a whopping $10 million on their big day before infamously divorcing 72 days later.
Most recently, West commissioned a silk-screen portrait of Kardashian from the late Andy Warhol's cousin, Monica Warhol.
"She's an icon. She's famous for nothing. Andy would have loved her," Warhol told the New York Post's Page Six. "Kim is beautiful. She's so manufactured. She looks like a human Barbie."
