Apple's March Event has turned from rumor to an expected reality as the tech giant teased a few members of the media with an electronic invitation to the event on March 21.
The invitation is most eye-catching because of its "Let us loop you in" tagline, which has tickled the curiosity of people even more, with some joking that maybe the company has decided to take on its own version of "Hyperloop," a transportation system that Elon Musk is working on.
However, more are convinced that it is nothing but a play of words referring to the location of the event, which is in its headquarters at 1 Infinite Loop, Cupertino, Calif.
The event will be available via live stream, but only to those equipped with an iPhone, iPad or iPod with an iOS of 7.0 or higher. This is because the stream can only be viewed via Apple's HTTP Live Streaming technology.
Those with Apple TVs can also catch the event, but only if its with a second, third or fourth gen TV. Lastly, those who plan to use their Macs will need to have Safari 6.0.5 or higher or OS X 10.8.5 or higher. Meanwhile, those on PC must use the Microsoft Edge browser in Windows 10.
There are a lot of rumors as to what Apple has up its sleeve, and the two most expected reveals are that of a four-inch iPhone SE and an iPad Air 3.
The supposedly new iPhone SE has yet to unveil why it bears "SE" on its rumored name. It is also expected to be a lighter version of Apple's old 5s model.
As for the iPad Air 3, it is rumored to be 9.7 inches in size and will have an A9 processor, a Smart Connector to accessories like the Smart Keyboard and probably a support for Apple Pencil.
The event date is also just a few days after the one year mark of Apple's first wearable product - Apple Watch. Thus, some are also speculating that new watch band styles, colors and materials will also be revealed during the event.
Last, as this is also the observed time of the year when Apple provides a laptop upgrade, there are also some theories that the Macs will move up to Skylake - Intel's sixth-generation Core line upgrade.
Amidst the company's multiple struggles, like the FBI probe and the peak of iPhone sales that has affected its stocks, Apple is hoping to redirect all the attention to the things that the company has been well-known for - the creation of quality hardware.
With the confirmation of the Apple March Event, people are awaiting what surprises Apple has actually prepared to reveal. The rumors could all be false and the company could end up revealing a new gadget or accessory. Whatever the event holds, everything will soon be confirmed or debunked in less than two weeks time.
