Caila Quinn might have another shot at love! The former contestant and second runner-up on hunk Ben Higgins' season of the hit ABC dating competition series "The Bachelor" is rumored to return as the star of the upcoming season of the spin-off show "The Bachelorette."
Quinn experienced a heartbreaking exit during the Feb. 29 episode of "The Bachelor" after Higgins, 27, whisked her and the two remaining contestants JoJo Fletcher and Lauren Bushnell to Jamaica for a romantic getaway. During his one-on-one dates with Fletcher and Bushnell, each of the ladies confessed their love for Higgins and he revealed that he loved both of them back. But he admitted that he didn't feel as strongly for Quinn, so he let her go.
Now Quinn was spotted filming on the streets of her hometown in Hudson, Ohio, last week, for what appears to be a series of action shots for the intro package for "The Bachelorette," and sources have confirmed that Quinn is set to star in the upcoming season. Even though ABC has yet to officially announce the casting, Quinn may have hinted at her franchise return during a recent interview.
"It's definitely something I would think about," Quinn said. "I did fall in love with this process before ... but I definitely need some time."
The 24-year-old software sales representative also sparked "Bachelorette" rumors during her sit-down interview with franchise host Chris Harrison during "The Bachelor" reunion special "Women Tell All," which aired earlier this week. Many fans thought her responses to Harrison's questions about love made her the prime candidate to star in her very own season of the reality series.
"It was hard for me to realize that my heart could trust somebody that way, I never felt that way before and it was the first time that I've ever felt understood by someone and it meant a lot," Quinn said about her relationship with Higgins. "And it was really hard to feel like I really was in love with somebody. To feel it and to say it and for him to say that he never loved me back, it was really hard.
"It's really hard to watch back," she continued. "But you know, what was really good for me was to see his relationship with Lauren B. and JoJo because the way he looks at them, I want someone to look at me that way one day. I want that. I want someone who can't control how much they love me."
