The Maestro Cares: Marc Anthony And His Foundation Open Up Orphanage In Toluca Mexico

Latin salsa superstar Marc Anthony is quite the generous guy. Anthony continues to share his wealth with the less fortunate; specifically 70 orphaned Mexican girls, all with the help of his "Maestro Cares" foundation.

Anthony started the "Maestro Cares" foundation, which operates as a non-profit organization, back in 2012 with Latino businessman Henry Cárdenas. Cárdenas and Anthony decided to begin their initiative in order to help the neglected and homeless children of Latin America, and this week "Maestro Cares" saw one of its projects come to fruition with the opening of an orphanage in Toluca, Mexico.

"These are the things that fulfill my soul! So happy to celebrate the opening of a new girls orphanage in Toluca," Anthony wrote on his Instagram account.

The orphanage, which is called "Casa Hogar Alegría Cacalomacán" which roughly translates to "House Home Happiness Cacalomacán," will provide shelter for 70 young girls who have been victims of abuse and neglect.

"I'm blessed to be a part of this project," Anthony said through the foundation, "There are millions of children suffering throughout Latin America. Maestro Cares seeks to make a positive change for many of these children." He continued: "I hope Maestro Cares will inspire others to do the same."

This is not the first successful initiative "Maestro Cares" has launched, as currently the non-profit organization provides homes for more than 7,000 children in different parts of Latin America. The foundation has established orphanages and homes for needy children in Dominican Republic, Colombia and other regions of Mexico.
