'Nicole And Jionni's Shore Flip': Snooki Recreates $200 Lamps On A Budget In New Sneak Peek [VIDEO]

Reality star-turned-design maven Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi is heading back down the shore with her new FYI series "Nicole and Jionni's Shore Flip." The former "Jersey Shore" star is teaming up with her husband Jionni LaValle to work on the couple's first house-flipping project. The husband-and-wife duo works together to rebuild and resell homes that were devastated in 2012's Hurricane Sandy.

With LaValle in charge of construction, Polizzi takes over the role as interior designer, and she shows off her DIY skills in each episode. She takes a design element for a room that she spots in high-end interior design catalogs, boutiques or websites, and she recreates the item with her own version that's much more affordable.

In a sneak peek for the Wednesday (March 16) episode, LaValle and Polizzi tackle the guest bedroom, and Polizzi saves her husband some money on a pair of nautical-themed lamps.

"Guest room," Polizzi declares as she walks in with her husband. "We're gonna beach it up."

"Maybe we'll even do like, a little sand," LaValle says, eager to contribute some creative design ideas.

"Actual sand?" Polizzi asks. "Leave the ideas to me, I'm the designer."

The clip cuts to footage of one of Polizzi's "hacks." She sits outside on the ground with two concrete, tapered cylinders, a roll of blue painter's tape and a can of gold spray paint.

"I'm making a hack out of these two lamps," she explains to her husband. "I'm gonna spray it gold and that is your $200 lamp."

She wraps the painter's tape around the top half of the concrete lamps to shield it from the spray. After she's done, the lamp stand resembles a modern lighthouse, color blocked with white at the top and gold at the bottom.

"Well, what do you think?" she asks her husband.

"Holy mackerel," he replies.

"We put a lot of work into this room," Polizzi says.

The camera pans, first showcasing the bare canvass that Polizzi started with, then showcasing the finished result. The bed's headboard features planks of wood that resembled a dock with two boat paddles in a display across the top. Her gold, lighthouse-esque lamps sits on either side of the bed on end tables, and blue-and-white striped curtains hang in the window. LaValle compliments his wife on a job well done.

"It looks awesome," LaValle says.
