Getting your hands on an Xbox One in the United States this holiday season is going to be a difficult task for some with many of the consoles tough to track down due to its high demand. However, Toys R Us has announced it will be receiving a shipment of Xbox One systems that will begin being sold on Sunday, Dec. 8.
"To ensure we're getting this must-have item into as many hands as possible in the last stretch of the season, Toys "R" Us stores nationwide are receiving another shipment of Xbox One units which will be released at opening this Sunday, December 8," a representative for the retailer said in a statement.
The consoles will be sold both in stores and online HERE at Toysrus.com for as long as they are available, so if you're looking for a last chance to snag one for your loved one this holiday season, you might want to be at the door on the computer as early as possible Sunday morning. The consoles have been routinely selling out since its launch last month.
Xbox One reportedly outsold the PlayStation 4 on Black Friday in the United States but that coincided with the launch of the PlayStation 4 in Europe, according to IGN, this likely constrained supplies in the U.S. even further than they already have been.
Microsoft's new next-gen console has performed well so far having sold more than one million units in its first 24 hours of availability. The system have become available in bursts on sites like Amazon and other retailers. That makes this opportunity to buy one through Toys R Us a very important last chance for many people looking to put a new gaming console under their tree this holiday season.
