Saturn’s Largest Moon Ttan May Hold the Key to the Origin of Life

According to Josep M. Trigo-Rodriguez from the Institute of Space Sciences, One of the planet Saturn’s largest moons, Titan may hold the key to the origin of life.

The atmosphere that Titan has is fairly capable in the formation of life. The moon is said to have a highly interactive chemical atmosphere. In such a way, astrobiological enlightens researchers that Titan has the following characteristics that could give way to understanding the creation of life.

These characteristics area dense atmosphere composed of meteoric metals and organic haze that could serve as a catalyst for chemical and molecular evolution. These chemical bonding and reactions are ways in which molecular and complex chemical changes may take place just like the changes that had taken place on earth thus creating the first living organism.

These chemical changes are bound to happen as the moon has highly interactive particles that can cause chemical reactions.

Saturn’s moon, Titan, is said to have conditions that can be compared to the early stages of the earth before life was present. The moon is the only known satellite of Saturn and of the other planets that is made up of iced water and rocks.

Researchers have also found it to be abundant in hydrocarbon lakes that are essential to the development of early life forms. As stated that water is indeed one of the requirements for life to exist and that the earth started in exactly the same way, with water.

This can be compared to the lakes and waters found in the Caribbean, in the island of Trinidad and Tobago where scientists have discovered a diverse number of living and thriving organisms. With all the necessary requirements needed for life to being, scientists and astronomers have increased the chances that the moon Titan may have life form such as bacteria living on its icy plains.
