Home Alone: Every installment in the Home Alone series seems to be funnier than the other. The first movie in the series was released in 1990. Starring Macaulay Culkin, Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern, the movie soon became every child's favorite, especially during Christmas.

- The line "You guys give up, or are you thirsty for more?" was improvised by Culkin while shooting.
- The decorations Marv steps on are actually candy.
- The picture Kevin finds of "Buzz's girlfriend" was a picture of a boy made up to look like a girl because Chris Columbus thought it would be too cruel to make fun of a girl like that. The boy that was used in the photo was the art director's son.
Die Hard: There's Christmas with Christmas cakes, carols, presents and yummy dinner and then there's Christmas with fighting the bad guys to save your wife! John McClain (Bruce Willis) definitely prefers the latter. The Die Hard series have all been centered on good winning over the bad, mostly during Christmas.

- The Hungarian title is "Give your life expensive", the title of the sequel is "Your life is more expensive", and the third part is "The life is always expensive"

- During the shooting of the film, director Ron Howard came in early one morning to put on the Grinch suit with full make-up and directed the entire day with the suit on.
- In an interview Jim Carrey said that when he first saw Howard in full Grinch outfit, he was angered, mistaking the director for a stunt double who looked nothing like him.
- The prosthetic make-up Jim Carrey wore took 3 hours to apply.
