Many "Revolution" fans know by now our heroes are all joining together, at some point in the second half of the season to take on the patriots.
However, according to a recent interview executive producer and co-showrunner Eric Kripke did with the Entertainment Weekly website, the main characters are going to have more help than fans expect.
One area of help is going to come from a type of group Miles and the gang just finished fighting.
"Our heroes, though they were battling war clans at the beginning of the season," Kripke tells EW.com, "find themselves in the interesting and uncomfortable position of allying themselves with a war clan in the second half of the season in order to defeat the patriots."
However, unlike Titus Andover - an insane man - this leader of this war clan is a smart female character, played by Katie Aselton ("The League", "Our Idiot Brother").
The other source of unexpected help comes from - wait for it - Monroe's son.
Mat Vairo ("Switched at Birth", "CSI") will debut on Jan 8 as Connor, the long lost son of Miles' best friend.
"The second half of the season is part of our group marshaling their forces and pulling everyone together - that includes Monroe's son and Neville - and bringing everyone together against the bad guys,"Kripke said.
The EP adds fans are finally going to meet "the president of the 'United States.'"
In addition to the threat of the patriots, our heroes may have to worry themselves about another threat - the nanotech.
Co-showrunner Rockne S. O'Bannon, recently told TVLine the nanotech, as of right now, is not under Aaron's control and may be drawing its own conclusions.
O'Bannon said the tech is "not sure how [they] feel about Aaron's individual actions, but also what that means in terms of how human beings act and react to things.
"There's a potential for an uncertain, possibly judgmental nanotech that's out there, and the danger is, it's literally everywhere."
He adds if the tech isn't listening to Aaron anymore then a "scary proposition" is created. He puts the following question out there, "If it's not relating to him in any way, what is it thinking? What is it doing?"
