What do President Obama, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and twerking/dual-bun enthusiast Miley Cyrus have in common?
The short answer: not much.
The longer answer? They're three of ten finalists nominated for Time magazine's "Person of the Year" 2013.
The magazine - which dedicates an annual issue to various features profiling a chosen figure, group or idea - released its list of finalists on Monday. The winner will be named on Wednesday, USA Today reported.
Time also mentioned in its announcement that the POTUS "was Person of the Year in 2008 and 2012," and "is the only person who appeared on last year's short list to make this year's."
Past winners have included Adolph Hitler, Winston Churchill, Mahatma Gandhi, while Franklin D. Roosevelt "is the only person to receive the title three times," Time wrote in its release.
The magazine chooses the Person of the Year based on what they've done to influence the events that occurred in the past 12 months, "for better or for worse."
The rest of the nominees for the spot are:
President of Syria Bashar al-Assad,
Texas senator Ted Cruz,
NSA watchdog Edward Snowden,
LGBT rights activist Edith Windsor,
Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius,
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani,
Pope Francis.
