Pittsburgh (20-10-1) saw its five-game winning streak end on Saturday with a 3-2 loss to the Boston Bruins. Although the Penguins blew a 2-1 lead with 90 seconds left in regulation, the club was more concerned about the health of teammate Brooks Orpik, who was sucker punched by Bruins winger Shawn Thornton and had to be taken off the ice on a stretcher.

"Everyone was kind of worried," Penguins star Sidney Crosby, who has 15 goals and 27 assists for a team-high 42 points, said, via ESPN. "It's hard to think about hockey when you see someone get hurt like that, especially a teammate and friend. We heard that he's OK, doing pretty good. But it was definitely tough."

Orpik was placed on the injured reserve list on Monday, according to ESPN. Evgeni Malkin, who missed the last two games with a lower-body injury, could play on Monday; James Neal is serving a five-game suspension for kneeing Bruins' Brad Marchand in the head on Saturday.

Columbus, meanwhile, is looking for its third straight win. The Blue Jackets (12-14-3) are coming off shutout wins against the Tampa Bay Lightning and Minnesota Wild.

"You could see the confidence start to grow on the team," Blue Jackets coach Todd Richards said. "We did some good things, and that's something to build off of."
