Nick Jonas has dropped yet another sexy video, and this time it's with Tove Lo.
On Friday, the 23-year-old former Jonas Brothers group member released the music video for his latest single "Close," which is a collaboration with "Talking Body" singer Tove Lo. In the video, the two get hot and heavy as their clothes get ripped off and Jonas begs for a special someone to get closer to him.
Jonas has been getting his fans ready for the new single, and the major album announcement that came with it, for days now on social media. "I've been making this record for a year and a half...Pouring everything I have into it," he tweeted late Wednesday night. "Tomorrow night I'm gonna show the world the first single."
He then went on to explain where the inspiration for the album came from. "When I first started making I thought I knew what it would be about...Then I had a breakup. It then became very clear what this thing would be about...And that I would need to dig really deep," he wrote. "Shit is too real sometimes...Reliving some of these real life experiences through music is hard. But I know it's important that I do it. I want to be an open book in my art." As for "Close," while he won't say exactly who it's about, he did reveal how it describes his inability to "open up and be vulnerable with someone." He then dropped the biggest announcement of them all and said how the full tracklist would be out around the same time as the single and video along with the pre-sale of the album. Despite wanting to wait, he just went ahead and released the track list right then and there.
"Every song is so personal and meaningful to me...So I might as well tell you the title of each track right..." he wrote before listing the 12 track titles. Jonas teased the album title but thought he had "said too much" for one night, but then just said "F--k it" and told his fans anyways. "Last Year Was Complicated" is now available for pre-sale and will drop on June 10.
"What an honor to be part of my crazy talented friend @nickjonas' new single #Close!" Tove Lo tweeted following the video release.
As nervous as she was to work with Jonas, especially for such an intimate video, she explained in an interview that he quickly calmed her nerves. "I've never interacted with another artist in a video before," she said. "Watching him really give it all triggered me to do the same. You feed off each other's energy. We were both covered in mud, bruised up and bleeding by the end of the shoot - but still with big smiles on our faces. It was awesome."
