Kim Richards is going to be a grandma for the first time! Brook Wiederhorn (née Brinson), the 30-year-old daughter of the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star, announced she's expecting her first child with her husband Thayer Wiederhorn in a sweet pregnancy and gender reveal posting on Instagram Easter Sunday.
The great news comes after a year of struggles for Richards. The 51-year-old reality TV star was arrested early last April for public intoxication and underwent a 30-day rehab program for alcohol abuse. She broke her sobriety at Brooke's wedding in May and caused a scene, then was arrested again for shoplifting at a California Target last August. Then, in January of this year, her ex-husband Monty Brinson lost his battle with lung cancer.
But there was a lot for Richards to celebrate during a big family dinner Saturday night in Palm Springs, Calif., at the La Quinta Resort. She reunited with her sister and "RHOBH" co-star Kyle Richards and sister Kathy Hilton during the pre-Easter celebration. The following day, Wiederhorn shared her pregnancy announcement on Instagram.
"Happy Easter! Can't wait to meet our baby BOY!" Wiederhorn announced in the caption, along with a photo of a burlap basket with a blue-and-white gingham cut-out of a bunny with a cotton tail. The basket sat in a field of pink and yellow flowers next to a sign that read "Baby" and was filled with baby blankets and a stuffed elephant in different shades of blue.
Richards has yet to comment on the exciting news, but she took to Instagram Sunday to wish her followers a happy Easter. She posted a photo of her posing next to the Easter Bunny with daughter Brooke and her husband Thayer, her 26-year-old daughter Whitney Davis and 24-year-old son Chad Davis. Daughter Kimberly, 20, was the only child missing from the family photo.
"Happy Easter from Our Family to Yours.. missing our Kimberly today!! .. Hurry home little one... @thayerwiederhorn @brookewiederhorn @whittlesdavis @chaddyboy91 @kcjay," Richards wrote in the caption.
