Kourtney Kardashian is "finally" catching up on FX's latest original series "American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson." The eldest of the Kardashian kids took to her Snapchat Monday night to document her reaction to watching the first couple of episodes of the crime drama, which features portrayals of her younger self and her siblings along with her mother Kris Jenner and her father, the late attorney Robert Kardashian.
The series hits a little too close to home for the Kardashians. Kim, Kourtney, Khloé and Rob were all just children when the infamous 1995 trail played out and their father defended his pal, former NFL star O.J. Simpson, during his case for the 1994 murders of Simpson's ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman.
Kourtney, 36, posted a snap of her TV screen, which featured Cuba Gooding Jr. in the role Simpson, with the caption: "Finally watching OJ."
Her second Snapchat post was a shot of former "Friends" star David Schwimmer portraying her dad Robert. In the shot, Schwimmer sat with his head in his hands.
"Episode two. This is weird to watch," Kourtney wrote in the caption, adding a sad face emoji with a single tear running down its cheek.
The 10-episode series also features actress Selma Blair as the Kardashian/Jenner matriarch Kris, who was married to Robert from 1978 until 1991 and was also close friends with Nicole. The Kardashian kids only appear in about five scenes out of the 400 shot for the series.
Kourtney's younger sister Khloé recently opened up about the series and explained why she's refrained from watching it during the Feb. 24 episode of her hit FYI late night talk show "Kocktails with Khloé."
"I have it on DVD, I just haven't seen it yet," Khloé explained. "So, for the week going up to it, I've seen all of the documentaries and the re-hashing of the footage of the O.J. trial and all this stuff. And just seeing my dad and everything, I re-lived emotions like, 'Oh my god, I forgot the sound of my dad's voice.'"
"So I understand why it came back, but I just feel bad," she continued. "And I think I'm a little more sensitive to it cause he was my Uncle O.J., like that's always what I called him."
