Golden State (12-10) continues to enjoy the success of point guard Stephen Curry, who's nearly averaging a double-double with a team-high 23.6 points and 8.9 assists per game. He's done even better in his last seven games, averaging 30.1 points and hitting 26 three pointers, according to ESPN.

"He's been playing at a whole different level," Warriors coach Mark Jackson said, via ESPN. "He's playing and acting like he's the best player on the floor night in and night out, carrying us down the stretch, making plays, choosing when to take over offensively and he knows when to facilitate."

Still, Golden State hasn't found an identity on defense - a large part of why the team had dropped seven of their last 11 games. Golden State's defense will be tested again on Wednesday when Maverick stars Dirk Nowitzki and Monta Ellis visit Oracle Arena.

Ellis, the Maverick's big acquisition during the off season, has helped Dallas to a 13-9 record while averaging 21.5 points and 5.6 assists per game. After nailing the buzzer-beater on Saturday to give Dallas the win over Portland, Ellis returns to the arena he played in from 2005 to 2012.

After losing 112-97 on Monday to the Sacramento Kings, a win on Wednesday will end the Maverick's four-game road trip with three wins.

"We were doing great on the road," Mavericks guard Jose Calderon told the team website, via ESPN. "It was two (wins) in a row, so we wanted to go four out of four. ... We've got to try to put that one out (of our minds) and just try to forget it."
