Good news for Carrie Underwood fans: The country star will now be visiting more cities than she planned during her Storyteller tour.
The 33-year-old singer revealed on Wednesday that she will be extending her tour through the end of November, when it was originally only supposed to go until May 30. The fall leg will pick up on Sept. 4 in Spokane, Wash., and will wrap up on Nov. 28 in West Valley City, Utah.
"I always love being on the road performing for my fans," Underwood said. "But something about this tour feels more magnetic than ever. Having a 360-degree view of the audience gives me the opportunity to connect with more fans and feed off their energy. I can't wait to continue this tour into the fall!"
Underwood released her fifth studio album "Storyteller" in October and began the tour on Jan. 30 in Jacksonville, Fla. When the tour was first announced, she explained how excited she was to start touring again.
"I can't wait to play new music from 'Storyteller' for the fans," she said at the time. "I am so blessed to have this career and get to do the things I do. But there is nothing like that moment when I get to step onto the stage to sing and all the fans are singing along with me."
The "American Idol" winner will also soon be returning to the Idol stage for the series' grand finale. As the highest earning "American Idol" winner, Underwood has had an incredible career ever since she won Season 4 in 2005. She's set and broken several records throughout her career and is the most popular country singer to come out of the competition.
"It's very bittersweet for 'American Idol' to no longer be on TV after this season," she said. "15 seasons, 15 years is an incredible amount of time for any television show to be running that successfully. So I feel like they should all be so, so, so proud. And I of course am thankful for that show because I wouldn't be standing here without it. It'll be fun to see the last season, though. I think they're going to go out with a bang. Again, it gave people like me a chance. It's changed the music industry, changed the entertainment world, and I'm beyond grateful for it."
Tickets for the fall leg of The Storyteller Tour will be available beginning Friday, April 8 at 10 a.m. local time at www.aeglive.com. There will be an American Express Card Members pre-sale beginning April 4 at noon through April 7 at 10 p.m. The singer will continue to donate $1 from each ticket sold to the C.A.T.S Foundation, which helps aid Checotah Oklahoma's education and literacy programs.
