No. 1-Someone's not as dead as we thought:
After Barry saved Oliver, and Oliver got over the fact Felicity revealed his identity to Barry, Oliver began to hallucinate. He saw three ghosts throughout this episode - Shado, Slade and Tommy. Shado appeared to him in his house and told him to give up fighting. Slade appeared to him in his lair told Oliver he was trying to save the city to atone for his own sins - and then they fought. In one of the final scenes of this episode, while Oliver was fighting super-powered Cyrus, Tommy appeared to him and told him to keep fighting and don't give up. During the flashbacks, Dr. Ivo and his men find and capture Oliver, Sara and Shado. Ivo puts Sara and Shado on their knees and asks Oliver to choose which one should be kept alive. Oliver doesn't want to choose but when Ivo points his gun at Sara's head and is about to pull the trigger, Oliver puts his body in front of hers. The last look on Shado's face is one of disappointment as Ivo shoots her in the head. It appears Oliver was feeling some guilt, hence the Shado and Slade ghosts. He thought both Shado, Slade and Tommy died because of him. However, one of those individuals isn't actually dead - Slade. Another flashback shows Slade eventually woke up after receiving the serum injection. Now possessing super human strength he killed Ivo's men. Only Ivo escaped. However, he realizes he was too late as he picks up Shado's corpse. He vows to make whoever killed her pay. It is soon revealed that Sebastian Blood isn't the one running the current operations in Starling City - Slade is.
No. 2-Roy isn't human anymore
Despite getting an arrow in the leg, Roy (along with Thea and Sin) continues to investigate what happened to Eddie. Roy breaks into an office and discovers some files on Sin's friend but is soon captured by Cyrus. Back at Blood's secret lair Blood injects Roy with the serum. Although Oliver is able to save him, Thea's brother is suspicious of Roy. He and Diggle will continue to watch Thea's boyfriend and how the serum affects him.
No. 3-Barry definitely notices Olicity
There are a couple times throughout this episode in which Felicity shows she cares about Oliver. (She acts jealous when she learns there was another girl, Shado, on the island with Oliver. "Shado, Sara. How many women were you marooned with on the island? Are you sure this wasn't Fantasy Island? She also acts worried as Oliver goes to fight Cyrus a second time.) Barry notices Felicity's feelings quickly and eventually confronts her about it. She again denies liking Oliver but Barry isn't buying it. The young scientist says he understands why Felicity would like Oliver - the guys rich and a superhero. Nevertheless, when Barry arrives back in Central City near episode's end he calls Felicity and says if she ever decides "Oliver Queen isn't the guy for" her, he'd love to take her on a date. Well, Barry realizes Olicity could happen. Now it's time for Olicity to realize Olicity could happen.
No. 4-Meet The Flash
Barry isn't able to make it back to watch the Particle Accelerator at Star Labs. So he decides to watch some TV News about it back at his lab. Pretty soon the news reporter says there was a malfunction to the primary cooling system of the PA due to the current storm. Next comes an explosion of some sort which Barry sees off in the distance. His chemicals begin to levitate, lighting crashes through his roof and knocks him unconscious as the chemicals fall on him. Ladies and Gentleman - we have the Flash.
No. 5-Oliver gets his mask
Earlier in the episode Barry suggests Oliver should have a mask instead of using grease paint. Oliver tells Barry to find him "a mask that conforms perfectly to my face and doesn't affect my ability to aim while I'm on the run." Barry does just that. After Barry is back in Central City, Oliver tries on the mask. Felicity puts it on him and Oliver asks, "How do I look". Felicity's response:
"Like a hero."
Other Notes:
Laurel has become more involved with Sebastian Blood. He sends her flowers during the episode. At Thea's request she asks him about the blood drive he held, which Eddie attended, but Blood doesn't really give her any answers.
Also, Det. Hilton dies quite tragically in this episode. Since Oliver was still recovering, he recruits Larry to go after Cyrus. Blood's mole in the police department lets Cyrus know when the police are coming and they walk into a one-man ambush. Hilton eventually fights Cyrus. After the detective is brought to his knees he points his gun at Cyrus. Sebastian's - or should I say Slade's - extra strong soldier forces Hilton to point the gun at himself and pull the trigger. Larry is also injured by Cyrus and Laurel rushes to the hospital to see her father, cutting a date with Blood short. Sebastian later meets Laurel at the hospital to comfort her.
SLADE THE VILLAIN:
Near the end of the episode Slade tells Blood he should have never confronted the Hood. It becomes apparent that Blood still doesn't know Oliver is the vigilante. However, he now knows Slade knows who the Hood is. Slade, who is now wearing an eye patch on his right eye, tells Sebastian he doesn't want Oliver dead just yet. He wants to strip Oliver of everyone and everything he has. Then:
Once he has lost everyone and everything he values, I will drive an arrow through his eye.
