After staring on the NBC drama “Parenthood,” Erika Christensen is going to experience parenthood first hand. The actress teased her pregnancy on Twitter Wednesday and revealed her baby bump the next day on the red carpet for her new film “Confirmation.”
The 33-year-old wore a formfitting brown dress with a plunging neckline. As she walked the carpet, Christensen cradled her bump as she beamed at the photographers. She kept her accessories simple and pulled her hair to the side with a long braid.
"I'm going to wear the tightest dress I can," Christensen said of her red carpet fashion choice.
“Confirmation” stars Kerry Washington as Anita Hill and follows her testimony at Judge Clarence Thomas’ Supreme Court nomination hearing. Christensen co-stars alongside Washington, who looked surprised to see her cast mate’s baby bump on the red carpet, and greeted her with a huge hug.
"Both parents are so excited, and were happily joking around with the photographers," an onlooker at the premiere said. "She was holding her belly and he was pointing at her, joking, 'I did this!'"

The “Parenthood” star is said to be about seven months pregnant with her first child with her cyclist husband Cole Maness. The two got engaged in November 2014 and married in September 2015 at an intimate wedding close to Palm Springs, Calif. The couple announced the nuptials in a funny picture on Christensen’s Instagram.
“True story. We got our rings and did the d*mn thing. #weddedbliss,” she captioned a picture of her and her new husband showing off their wedding rings. In the photo, the actress wore her hair in a bun on the top of her head, styled with a flower crown.
When Christensen first confirmed the news of her pregnancy on Twitter, she also revealed that she was expecting a girl.
"This boy is getting a little sister. A human sister. She'll make her first appearance tomorrow at #Confirmation," she tweeted, along with a picture of her holding her puppy.
Christensen is known for playing Julia Braverman-Graham on all six seasons of the hit show “Parenthood.” The actress is also a member of the Church of Scientology.
