Is Justin Bieber going to play Brian in "Fast and the Furious 7"? There is a rumor that the "Boyfriend" singer will replace Paul Walker in the upcoming movie and fans are outraged about it. It's not clear where the rumor originated but over the summer "Fast" star Ludacris told a reporter that he would like to see Bieber in the film, Hollywood Life reports.
The interview happened before Walker's tragic death. In the video the reporter asked Ludacris if he would like to see Bieber appear in an upcoming "Fast" movie.
"He's probably ready to shoot, I guarantee you. He's going to get off tour soon and I think he's gonna love this movie so much he's gonna try to get in here," Ludacris said. "And he's old enough to drive so we're good."
Ludacris even said he would personally recommend Biebs for a part. Following that interview Hollywood Life created a fake trailer for "Fast and the Furious 7" that featured Bieber. Even though Ludacris didn't say which role he thought Bieber should play, fans speculated that the singer would be replacing Walker.
So far, there has been no word from Universal Pictures stating whether the rumor is true or not. It's not even clear if the studio plans on replacing Walker in the upcoming film. Following Walker's tragic death, the film has halted production to figure out the best way to move forward with the film. Walker was in the middle of filming for the upcoming movie at the time of his death.
It's been reported that the studio is currently trying to decide whether they should keep the footage they already have with Walker and work a storyline around it or completely cut him from "Fast 7." Check out the reactions to the Justin Bieber rumor below:
