Guns N' Roses Announce U.S. Stadium Tour; Tonight's Warmup Gig At The Troubadour Confirmed

Leading up to its first official show featuring both lead singer Axl Rose and guitarist Slash at Coachella later this month and amid now-confirmed rumors of a gig at the tiny Troubadour in Los Angeles tonight, Guns N' Roses announced a 20-date summer North American tour, with stops scheduled for most major American markets including New York, Philadelphia, Dallas and San Francisco as well as Toronto.

"Following months of intense rumor, speculation and feverish excitement from rock music fans around the world, Guns N' Roses confirmed today they will embark on a massive North American summer stadium tour as founder Axl Rose and former members, Slash and Duff McKagan regroup for what will be one of the century's most anticipated musical events," concert promoter Live Nation said in a press release. "The news follows their previously announced headlining dates at this year's Coachella Music & Arts Festival. The Not In This Lifetime Tour, produced and promoted exclusively by Live Nation, will see the iconic band headline stadium dates throughout the U.S. and Canada. ... In a special preview, Axl, Slash and Duff will return to the stage tonight at The Troubadour in Los Angeles where the band launched their ground-breaking career."

Tonight's concert at The Troubadour, which holds about 500 people, will be the classic GNR lineup's first show since 1993. Rumors of a reunion show there started a few weeks ago when former GNR drummer canceled a solo show set for April 1 at the Whisky A Go-Go. Tickets are only $10, and the LAPD has been preparing for a "mad dash" of concertgoers.
