Former NFLers Vince Young, Marcus Vick Find Legal Trouble

Vince Young has a pretty cushy job these days as a member of the University of Texas within their Division of Diversity and Community Engagement, aiding the university with alumni relations and providing support for those students coming from low-income families. As such, you'd expect that Young, well removed from the NFL and his playing days at this point, would fade slowly into the background of the national consciousness.

But you'd be wrong.

Instead, Young is again facing legal trouble as a woman has filed a lawsuit against the former Longhorns standout and one-time National Champion, alleging assault.

Per the suit, Young and the woman in question were on their way back from an NCAA Tournament game in 2014, riding in the same vehicle, when an "extremely intoxicated" Young pulled the woman's hair hard enough to cause her lost wages and medical bills totaling $250,000.

This isn't the first time Young has had a run-in with the law since failing out of the NFL following stints with the Titans, Eagles, Packers and Browns - Young was arrested for DWI in Austin in January.

Then, Young's employer stood by him. It remains to be seen what the outcome of this latest issue will be for Young and Texas.

Young wasn't the only former NFL prospect to face legal issues on Monday though, as Marcus Vick, the loudmouthed younger brother of one-time superstar Michael Vick, was arrested in Newport News, VA on Sunday and is facing charges of assault on a police officer.

A police officer attempted to arrest Vick because of an outstanding warrant for contempt of court. Vick pushed the officer and ran.

After what is being described as a "short chase," Vick was arrested. He is currently being held in custody.

Vick, a former quarterback at Virginia Tech, appeared in only a single game as an NFL player despite playing at the high-profile Hokies program and being drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the 2006 NFL Draft.

His older brother Michael pleaded guilty to charges stemming from an illegal dogfighting ring in 2007 and spent two years in jail as a result.
