Though fans who fancy themselves Westero-y experts are still waiting for George R.R. Martin to publish the sixth book, "The Winds of Winter," in his "A Song of Ice and Fire" novel series, their wait for the sixth season of HBO's "Game of Thrones" is quickly coming to an end. The series will return later this month and audiences are eager to get the answers to some Wall-sized questions.
While we may not know the fat of Kit Harington's Jon Snow, we do know he'll at least be appearing in corpse form this season. Liam Cunningham, who plays Davos Seaworth on the show, debuted a new clip from the upcoming season on Conan O'Brien's show last night. He also revealed that Martin himself divulged a huge spoiler to him when they first met, but he refrained from providing any specifics. He also noted that the clip won't be revealing anything too major either.
"I'll tell you one thing, there aren't going to be any spoilers in it," Cunningham said. "Let's have a look, I'm not even sure I've seen it."
And boom, there's Jon Snow in the flesh. Well, the likely rigor mortis flesh, but still, it's him! Davos is standing guard of Jon's corpse as the traitorous brothers of the Night's Watch try to get in.
"I've never been much of a fighter," Davos says as he unsheathes Jon's valyrian steel sword. "Apologies for what you're about to see."
O'Brien captures the after effect the best, saying: "Alright, I'm in."
We're right there with you, Conan!
The season six premiere, titled "The Red Woman" in a reference to Melisandre, sounds like a big one. The official HBO description reads: "Jon Snow is dead. Daenerys meets a strong man. Cersei sees her daughter again."
"Game of Thrones" will return Sunday, April 24 at 9 pm on HBO.
