Legendary Musician Billy Joel asked for Paul McCartney’s help to find an alleged stalker and to protect his daughter Alexa Ray, according to the New York Post.
Joel hired a body guard and security forces to deal with the situation involving his daughter. Alexa Ray is the daughter of Billy Joel and ex-wife Christie Brinkley. The security firm was recommended by the Beatles great.
The 27-year old was allegedly stalked online by a woman for months. Joel also claims the woman sent frightening messages.
The women accused of stalking is 40-year old Sheryl Finley. Authorities charged Finley with stalking Alexa Ray. Finley was found in the woods of Austin, Minnesota without any clothes.
According to court records, Finley allegedly sent over 60 messages including some that mentioned “pedophilia, sadistic-sexual behavior, violent physical assaults and murder.”
According to sources, Alexa Ray was so scared she questioned whether or not she should step foot out of her home in Manhattan.
McCartney recommended a private eye firm based in Europe. According to sources, the firm is not bound by the same restrictions as local law enforcement.
After she was caught by the private eye firm, Finley told authorities that the threats of murder, rape, and pedophilia, were not actions she desired to carry out “during this life.”
Finley has a history with mental health issues and she spent some time in a mental health institution in 2010.
She has held out hope that Alexa Ray will “not object to meeting her.”
