NCIS Season 11 Spoilers: DiNozzo Senior Returns With A Surprise: A Suspicious Man Approaches the Vance Family

There are certain recurring characters on "NCIS" that bring a bit of fun when they arrive. One of those characters is Diane, Gibbs and Fornell's ex-wife. She showed up in this week's episode and there were many hilarious moments. Another one of the fun characters is Anthony DiNozzo Sr.

According to TVLine.com, the elder DiNozzo will be back for Episode 250. Executive Producer and showrunner Gary Glasberg recently discussed Senior's return and how the younger DiNozzo has made it through this season's ups and downs.

"Tony has had a year of real change and growth so far," Glasberg told TVLine. "Ziva said goodbye. Bishop said hello. Tony's friendship with McGee got stronger and his bond with Gibbs wasn't weakened by change, it was reinforced.

"And now, for a special 250th episode, Anthony DiNozzo Sr. [played by Robert Wagner] will be back. And along with a riveting crime to solve, Tony will discover there's a new mystery woman in his father's life."

According to a promo for the next episode, the Vance family will be dealing with a suspicious visitor as they spend their first Christmas without Mrs. Vance. Meanwhile Gibbs and Abby will lead the way in an investigation into a mysterious illness.

In a previous interview with EW.com, Glasberg previewed this episode.

"It's an Abby-centric story. So it's Abby and Carol [Meredith Eaton] and Palmer really focused in the lab to try to focus on what's going on," Glasberg said.

"NCIS" airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on CBS.
