The upcoming "Batman vs. Superman" preproduction is underway in Michigan and is slated to be the biggest movie to ever be filmed in the state.
According to the Detroit Free Press, Michigan Motion Picture Studios in Pontiac will be "key" to making the DC film one of the largest movie shoots ever for the state. The studio plans on shooting in multiple locations throughout the state.
"The studio complex is serving as home to production offices for the Warner Bros./DC Entertainment project. When filming starts next year, all seven of the soundstages will be used. The still-untitled Superman-Batman movie is expected to occupy the complex through August," the Detroit Free Press reports.
In other "Batman vs. Superman" news, "Fast & Furious" actress Gal Gadot was officially cast as DC's Wonder Woman for the upcoming film. However, Amy Adams, who plays Lois Lane in the movie, doesn't want Wonder Woman's addition to be a green light for a cheesy love triangle.
"Am I interested? I don't know," Adams told ComingSoon.net. "I mean, we'll see. I hope that I can be involved with a woman on screen where we're not in a love triangle. That would be fun. Maybe where we team up together and we work as teammates instead of adversaries...Wouldn't it be nice if women weren't always just, like, cat-fighting and stuff?"
Director Zack Snyder is confident Gadot will be a great addition to their cast and believes she can take on the role of Wonder Woman.
"Wonder Woman is arguably one of the most powerful female characters of all time and a fan favorite in the DC Universe. Not only is Gal an amazing actress, but she also has that magical quality that makes her perfect for the role. We look forward to audiences discovering Gal in the first feature film incarnation of this beloved character," Snyder told Deadline.
