We left "The Good Wife" on one of the funniest moments on television this season. Alicia's mother Veronica candidly asked the name of Marilyn's baby - to which she candidly replied "Peter". This was followed by Eli not so candidly executing a textbook spit take. (For your viewing pleasure you can watch it again below.)
According to TVLine.com, when Season 5 picks up Eli will be on the case - or rather he'll hire Kalinda to be on the case. If Peter did in fact sleep with Marilyn and she became pregnant, it would be the end of Peter's, and possibly Eli's political career.
Robert King, co-creator of "The Good Wife", told the website the show will "pick up a second later" after Marilyn's shocking response.
TVLine also reports Alicia and Will are going to do battle in the court room again. A band will recruit Florrick & Agos as they bring a lawsuit against a television show for copyright infringement.
In addition to Marilyn's response, one of the other surprising moments at the holiday party was the attendance of drug kingpin Lemond Bishop, played by Mike Colter. Colter recently told Entertainment Weekly, his character will eventually cause some problems.
"I think for the most part, when they were dealing with me when they were with Lockhart/Gardner it was because they had to. It was a necessary evil because the partners decided it was good for the business. They kept going with it," Colter said, according to EW.com. "Now they're trying to redefine themselves as a new law firm they're realizing do we need people like him? And if we do need people like him, how are we different from Lockhart/Gardner? What is this all for?"
Bishop will also be in the middle of Florrick & Agos vs. LG (Lockhart & Gardner).
"It's not only which firm he's going to choose, but who's going to choose him," Colter explained. "Who really wants him? And who's he going to end up with?"
