The midseason finale of "Arrow" showed signs of what "Olicity" fans have known all along - Oliver and Felicity belong together. Barry saw how Felicity was visibly worried about Oliver and how she was jealous of "all" the women he was with on the island.
However, the signs we saw in the finale won't immediately lead to the intense love confession and make-out session every Olicity shipper is hoping for.
"For Felicity, she doesn't want to like Oliver in a way, because she finds him unattainable. And, in a way, he is unattainable," executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said according to EOnline.
It doesn't seem the situation is going well on Oliver's end either.
"Oliver isn't quite sure what he feels. Like he knows he feels something for her, but he can't quite define it," said Kreisberg.
As for Felicity's other love interest, Barry, he may not be making an appearance again for the rest of the season. According to TVLine.com, since "Flash" is a go, the appearance Barry, played by Grant Gustin, was to make in episode 20 is no longer happening.
"Right now, we're focusing hard on writing the Flash pilot and breaking the rest of the season of Arrow," Kreisberg said according to TVLine. "But hopefully there will be some synchronicity between the two [shows], in anticipation of getting to see more of Grant [Gustin] and The Flash."
When we resume "Arrow" in Jan, it seems as if Oliver's focus will be much more on finding the man in the skull mask. Oh and judging from this preview, it appears Roy has gotten just a bit stronger.
"Arrow" returns January 15 on The CW.
