Following the disappointing events, a video was published online titled, "Red Dead Redemption 2 - SONY REVEAL CANCELLED AT THE LAST MINUTE." In this video, the game publisher explained to its fans and enthusiasts why the trailer reveal was canceled. An industry insider pointed out that the cancellation of the "Red Dead Redemption 2" reveal was due to the recent shooting events at Orlando. As a result, Sony decided to show "Days Gone" gameplay instead of "RDR 2."

"Red Dead Redemption 2 E3 2016 Reveal Gameplay Trailer got cancelled at the last minute according to a massive Industry insider," Game Riot's video caption read. "Due to recent event in Orlando - Sony cancelled the reveal and put Days Gone gameplay up instead. Very late call."

Even though there have been several rumors surrounding the game release, many anticipate that "Red Dead Redemption 2" will be launched in 2017. However, this is just a rumor and no official information has been revealed regarding the game release. According to news reports, Rockstar Games is apparently unprepared for the "RDR 2" reveal. However, the company reassures its fans that it will launch some "exciting future projects" soon.
